Stewardship

We
appreciate so much your faithful worship attendance at New Philadelphia
Moravian Church! We are praying that as a member you will consider
doing the following things:
- Find
a place in our church where you are growing spiritually, through
Sunday school, small group ministries and other fellowship
groups.
- Find
a place in our church or in the community where you are being
empowered to serve others in some way.
"Forward
in Faith, Share the Joy!"
Our
Stewardship Theme for 2008. We thank our members who have submitted
their pledge commitment cards for the upcoming year.

Mission
Statement
The
mission of the Stewardship Committee is to help all members
grow in their faith journey and their response to God's grace
through applying their gifts to further the Kingdom of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
Our
goals as a committee are identified by the following acronym
P
= Participate
E
= Educate
A
= Appreciate
C
= Communicate
E
= Evaluate
We
as committee will encourage the congregation to participate
actively in stewardship. We will provide educational
opportunities for our members to learn more about stewardship.
We will express appreciation not only to God
for all the gifts provided to us, but also to our membership
at New Philadelphia who help support our ministries. Through
newsletters, bulletin boards and other literature we will communicate
opportunities for growth through stewardship in one's own spiritual
journey as well as in the life of the church. Finally any successful
program must have a time to evaluate their
progress.
"Stewardship
is what we do after we say we believe."
"Stewardship
is the way we use resources
God entrusted to us for the purposes
to which the Lord has called us."
These definitions come from Eugene Grimm's book, Generous
People copies are available in our church library for your
reading pleasure.
What
are the benefits of Year Round Stewardship Education?
From
Eugene Grimm's Generous People
1.
It allows time and creativity to address all aspects of stewardship
during the year. We want members to see stewardship as our total
response to God's grace and gifts, not just our financial response.
2.
Year round stewardship education helps members to connect the
meaning of Christian stewardship to other ministries of the
congregation.
3.
Year round stewardship education helps to provide a balanced
follow up and feed back to the congregation from our annual
financial stewardship emphasis.
